Wheel nave (including the wheel bearing)

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lift the car and remove a wheel.
  1. Remove a flange of a drive of an axis of a shaft (1) (at the all-wheel drive car) or a cap of a nave of a wheel (at the car with a drive on two wheels).
  1. If there is a system of antiblocking of brakes (ABS), remove the gauge of speed of a wheel from a fist and the plug of fastening from a rack.
  2. Remove a bolt of a support of a disk brake and leave a support to hang.

Hang up the removed support of a disk brake on a wire hook or something similar that the brake hose strongly was not bent and it was not overwound or it was not pulled out. Do not press a brake pedal when are removed brake колодки.


  1. Remove a brake disk.

If the brake disk does not act in film hands, take advantage of 8-millimetric bolts.


  1. Remove a lock washer of the bearing of a forward wheel (1), having weakened 4 bolts (2).
  1. By means of the special tool remove a counternut of the bearing of a forward wheel. The special tool: (A): 09951-16050.
  1. Remove a washer of the bearing of a forward wheel.
  2. Hands remove a wheel nave.

If it is not possible to remove a wheel nave manually, take advantage of special tools.

If at removal of a nave of a wheel the internal holder of the bearing of a wheel remains on an axis of a fist of a wheel that means breakage of the bearing of a wheel, replace a wheel nave (together with the wheel bearing).

  1. Remove a rotor of the gauge (1) from a nave of a wheel (2) (if there is a system of antiblocking of brakes ABS).
  • Gradually and in regular intervals extend a rotor of the gauge from a wheel nave.
  • Do not use the removed rotor of the gauge repeatedly. At installation put a new rotor of the gauge.
  1. Remove from a nave nave bolts.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Insert a new pin into a nave aperture. Slowly it повращайте to be convinced that мелкозубчатые connections coincide with the connections made an initial bolt.

  1. Establish a new rotor of the gauge (1) by means of the special tool (if there is a system of antiblocking of brakes ABS).

Be attentive not to insert a nave of a wheel (2) on a diagonal.


Position of a rotor of the gauge of speed of a wheel (1) at installation.
The rough size “a”: 4.9 ± 0.1 mm (0.19 ± 0.004 inches).
3 — a hydraulic press

  1. Fingers establish a nave of a wheel (1) on a spindle supporting an internal holder (3).

Do not beat on a nave of a wheel a hammer or something heavy. So it is possible to break it.


If it is impossible to establish a wheel nave manually, (that means that the internal holder is not levelled), remove a nave of a wheel and establish it again.

  1. Establish a washer of the bearing of a wheel, and then a counternut of the bearing of a wheel.
  1. Turning a hand a wheel nave, tighten a counternut of the bearing of a wheel to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling. The special tool: (A) 09951-16050. The inhaling moment: a counternut of the bearing of a wheel (a) — 216 Н•м (21.6 kg th, 157 pounds-foots).
  1. Lock washer (1) block a bearing counternut. If the aperture of a blocking bolt is not levelled with an aperture in a counternut, turn a counternut in a tightening direction until they will not be levelled. The inhaling moment: a blocking bolt (b) — 1.5 Н•м (0.15 kg th, 1.1 pounds-foots).
  1. For the all-wheel drive car use plastic литиевую greasing for a washer of a shaft of a forward drive and an external axis of a fist of a forward wheel. “A”: greasing 99000-25010.
  1. For the all-wheel drive car at installation of a lock ring (1) on a drive shaft use болтовое an aperture in a drive shaft to pull out it and to turn in the big diameter (2) rings to the right.
  1. At cars with system of antiblocking of brakes ABS check up, that no alien material has stuck to the gauge and a rotor. Establish the gauge of speed of a wheel (1) and the plug of its fastening.
    • The inhaling moment:
      • Bolt of the plug of fastening (a): 10 Н•м (1.0 kg th, 7.5 pounds-foots)
      • Gauge bolt (b): 23 Н•м (2.3 kg th, 17.0 pounds-foots)

  • At installation of the gauge of speed of a forward wheel (1) do not pull and do not overwind excessively connecting wires.
  • Reliably attach a sealing ring to an internal wing.

  1. Check up, that there was no backlash between the gauge and a fist.
  1. Establish a brake disk and a support of a disk brake. The inhaling moment: a bolt of a support of a disk brake (e) — 85 Н•м (8.5 kg th, 61.5 pounds-foots).
  1. Put hermetic and establish a flange of a drive of an axis of a shaft or a cap of a nave of a wheel.

For the all-wheel drive car

  1. Put hermetic on an adjoining surface of a flange of a drive of an axis of a shaft (1), then establish a flange of a drive of an axis of a shaft and tighten фланцевый a bolt (2) to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling.
  • The inhaling moment:
    • Bolt of a flange of a drive (a): 50 Н•м (5.0 kg th, 36.5 pounds-foots)
    • “A”: hermetic 99000-31090

For the car with a drive on two wheels

  1. Remove greasing, old hermetic and a dirt from adjoining surfaces of a cap of a nave of a wheel (3) and naves (4), on the cleared surface of a cap of a nave in regular intervals put water-proof hermetic "And" and establish a cap on a nave. “A”: hermetic 99000-31090.
  1. Establish a wheel. The inhaling moment: a wheel nut (a): 100 Н•м (10.0 kg th, 72.5 pounds-foots).
  1. For cars with system of antiblocking of brakes ABS, spend a verifying trip as it is described in the Head Antiblocking brake system (ABS), (the Table of diagnostics of malfunctions ABS).
